Most platforms call somebody an expert because somebody else called them an expert. We don't. The seal is awarded only after a human reviewer has read the credentials submitted, cross-referenced them, and signed off on what was checked and how.
The checks we run
- ·Institutional email
A signed-link round-trip to a working .edu / .gov / .org address tied to the stated employer.
- ·Degree certificates
A copy of the certificate plus a check against the university's public registrar where available.
- ·Peer-reviewed publications
Cross-referenced via Scopus, Google Scholar, or the appropriate journal, with a consistent ORCID where possible.
- ·Current employment
Listed on the institution's public staff register or confirmed by a manager via signed link.
- ·LinkedIn cross-reference
Profile consistent with the stated employment and publications. Account active for ≥ 12 months.
What stays public
Every verified profile shows the dossier — which checks were run, when, and by whom. A host can see what the seal means before deciding whether it means enough for their show.
When verification fails
We never silently reject. If a credential doesn't pass, the reviewer leaves a note — you can read it, fix what we asked for, and resubmit. Most successful profiles are cleared on the second pass.
